Sharwanand attends 'Manamey' pre-release event barefoot - Here's why

Tollywood stars Sharwanand and Krithi Shetty are gearing up for the release of their comedy-drama ‘Manamey’ on June 7. Ahead of the release, the makers hosted a pre-release event in Hyderabad. However, actor Sharwanand stole the show with his humble gestures and down-to-earth behavior with fans. Sharwanand attended the event barefoot, which left many online curious.

According to Pinkvilla, the actor entered the venue in an all-black outfit as he was observing Ayyappa Deeksha, a 41-day fast prior to visiting the Sabarimala temple in Kerala. This observance includes wearing a sacred chain, all-black clothes, walking barefoot, and not cutting or shaving hair. Actors including Ram Charan and Ajay Devgn have also done this before. On the other hand, Krithi Shetty looked like a mermaid in her pearl-themed lehenga.

During the event, the actor mentioned that they were planning to host the event in Pithapuram, but they had to skip it due to permit issues. He assured fans that the success meet of ‘Manamey’ will happen in Pithapuram. He sent his warm wishes to Powerstar Pawan Kalyan on his victory in the Lok Sabha election 2024.

‘Manamey’, directed by Sriram Adittya, also features Ayesha Khan, Vikram Adittya, Rahul Ravindran, Seerat Kapoor, Shiva Kandhukuri, Vennela Kishore, and Rahul Ramakrishna in main roles. Hesham Abdul Wahab is the music director of the film.
