Shafi to star in A Shyam Gopal Varma film

Actor Shafi, who impressed everyone with his award-winning performance as a terrorist in Krishna Vamsi���s Khadgam, is back to experimenting, again. The actor, who was also a former assistant director, will be seen as Shyam Gopal Varma in the movie A Shyam Gopal Varma film to be directed by debutante Rakesh Srinivas. The film is about a director who is addicted to making horror films, and the consequences he faces as a result of this. Ask Shafi what prompted him to essay the role and he says, ���As an actor, I���d love to experiment with different roles and my character in this film has several shades to excel. There���s ample scope for my character to perform and I���ll be seen in a different role. I���m really looking forward to it.��� Zoya Khan is the female lead in the film, shooting for which will commence from December.
