Former heroine Aamani who is playing character roles in recent years has been

hospitalised

Mancherial

after complaining of

chest pain

on the sets of her new film. The 47-year-old actress who was shooting in the nearby locations of the Telangana town from the past few days suddenly fell ill on Thursday. She was immediately rushed to the private hospital and after a thorough examination; the doctor concluded that it was a slight chest pain with nothing to worry. She was discharged after basic tests and the primary treatment.

Aamani is currently shooting for a small-budget Telugu film bankrolled by popular lyricist Taidala Bapu hailing from Mancherial. The shooting kicked-off earlier this week and all safety precautions including COVID protocols are being followed on the film sets.

Besides this untitled project, the Bengaluru-born actress is playing pivotal roles in the upcoming films,

. She made her leading lady debut in 1992 with the fantasy-comedy ‘Jamba Lakidi Pamba’ directed by EVV Satyanarayana and roused to fame with evergreen classics like Mister Pellam, Subha Lagnam, Subha Sankalpam and Maavichiguru.

In 2018, Aamani confirmed the existence of casting couch in Telugu and Tamil industries. She said that during her initial days in the showbiz world, she used to get calls from new production houses, who asked her to come to their guest houses alone. The yesteryear actress said that she immediately understood their intentions and avoided them.
