On Wednesday, Megastar
Chiranjeevi has unveiled the teaser of
Aadi Saikumar’s upcoming film “Sasi” on the sets of Acharya and congratulated the team for cutting an engaging promo. Touted to be a romantic drama blended with action, the promo shows Aadi in two contrast avatars and for the first time, he sports a rugged bearded look. On one side, he appears to be an aspiring musician who is head over heels in love and on the other; he is an alcoholic who seems to get lost in his own world.

Surbhi Puranik and
Raashi Singh as the leading ladies,
Sasi features an ensemble supporting cast like Rajiv Kanakala, Vennela Kishore, V Jayaprakash and Ajay. Directed by debutante Srinivas Naidu Nadikatla, the teaser is loaded with a curiosity element, meaningful dialogues, beautiful romance, comedy and a couple of action sequences. The shooting of the film has already been wrapped up and the release date is expected to be out soon.
While Srinivas Naidu Nadikatla has composed the music for Sasi, Amarnadh Bommireddy has handled the cinematography and Vishwa Raghu has choreographed the dance. The film is jointly bankrolled by R.P. Varma, Ramanjaneyulu and Chintalapudi Srinivas under Sri Hanuman Movie Makers banner.
Introduced to Telugu cinema as the son of popular actor-cum-dubbing artist Saikumar, Aadi Saikumar made his protagonist debut with ‘Prema Kavali’ and scored a massive hit in his maiden outing itself. However, barring ‘Lovely’ and ‘Sukumarudu’, all his films in the recent past have ended up as debacles. Despite delivering an impressive performance as an NSG commando in ‘Operation Goldfish’, the action-thriller bombed at the box-office.
