Sasanasabha will resonate with every voter in India: Indra Sena

After playing cameos in films like Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Ram Charan’s Dhruva, Sandalwood star, Indra Sena is chuffed about finally getting the opportunity to play the hero in Tollywood. He plays the protagonist Surya in Sasanasabha, a political drama written by K Raghavendra Reddy and directed by Venu Madikanti. “Politics is something that everyone should pay attention to, and the film will make everyone who votes question themselves, especially if they’re the kind to exchange votes for money. I’m excited to have got a chance to shoulder a film like this. It has everything from action to drama and emotions,” he says.

The film has an underlying message for the viewers. “The Parliament of the country is the institution that safeguards the rights of its citizens, and it deserves to be revered like a place of worship. That’s the message the film conveys. Director Venu found an organic and engaging way to get this point across without being too preachy. The film will resonate with every voter in the country,” he adds.

Produced by Thulasi Ram Sappani and Shanmugam Sappani (Sappani Brothers) under Sapbro Production, Sasanasabha is releasing in five languages — Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. “The story is relevant to citizens across the country, which is why we’re releasing it in multiple languages. I’ve waited more than a decade to be part of a story like this one,” says Indra.

The film also stars Rajendra Prasad, Aishwarya Raj Bhakuni and Sonia Agarwal. “It was great to share the screen with such stellar actors. Ravi Basur’s background score and music deserve a special mention. Sasasanasabha will be a memorable film for everyone,” he says, rounding off.
