Sarkaru Vaari Paata is slated to hit screens on January 13, 2022 for Sankranthi. This will be Mahesh’s first film to release in two years after the 2020 Anil Ravipudi directorial Sarileru Neekevvaru. A schedule for the film was shot in

before the second wave of coronavirus hit India. Mahesh and his family had even turned it into a vacation of sorts. The actor re-joined sets recently after getting vaccinated. Key scenes featuring him are now being shot in Hyderabad.
