Well-known South Indian cinematographer Santosh Sivan has just turned actor. He is portrayed as the legendary painter Raja Ravi Varma in a Malayalam film directed by Lenin Rajendran.

Well-known South Indian cinematographer Santosh Sivan has just turned actor. He is portrayed as the legendary painter Raja Ravi Varma in a Malayalam film directed by Lenin Rajendran. The film is being dubbed into Telugu as Ravi Varma. Sobha Rani, who has bought the rights of the Telugu version, says that the film is being screened in many international and national film festivals. Apart from Santosh Sivan, the film has Karthika and Nithya Menon as the female leads.Sobha Rani says that Santosh Sivan has portrayed the character of the master painter very well. ��Madhu Ambat's cinematography is going to be the highlight of the film. Though it deals with the painter��s life and journey, the film has commercial elements too,�� she adds. Ramesh Narayana has composed the music for this period romance.
