Sanjjannaa keen to shed 'sex-symbol' tag
Actress Sanjjannaa hates being refereed to as a sex symbol. The actress earned the tag after her bold performance in the Genda Hendathi, the controversial Kannada remake of Mallika Sherawat-starrer Murder. The Bangalore based actress is hopeful of reinventing herself with her next couple of films.
���I���ve managed to carve a niche for myself as an actor in Kannada cinema with a string of good performances.

I���m hopeful of proving my mettle as an actress in Telugu as well,��� says the actress who will begin shooting for director RP Patnaik���s next film Sarada by the end of the month.
���It is a complete entertainer and I���m playing a very de- glam girl-next-door. It���s a performance oriented role, and for the first time I���m trying my hand at comedy. I���m very upbeat and the audience will see a completely different side of me on screen,��� says the actress. She is paired opposite Nischal, Nandu in the movie.
She is playing the lead in Shivkeshav, which happens to be the debut film of yesteryear actor Bhanuchander���s son Jayanth. ���It���s an out and out romantic film and I���m playing a very conservative girl in movie. I will be seen wearing salwar kameez all through the movie. The film has actor Srihari playing himself and his sudden demise has come as a blow to the filmmakers,��� shares the actress who is awaiting three releases in Kannada ��� Agraja, Rebel and Mandya to Mumbai.
She seems to be having a much better run in Kannada films at the moment. ���I believe it all boils down to luck. I���ve had a few big hits and it helps. I���m confident of turning things around soon in Telugu as well,��� she says.
