Sandeep Reddy Vanga to make 'Spirit' an ‘A-rated’ movie with Prabhas and Triptii Dimri in bold scenes- Report
Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently welcomed actress Triptii Dimri on board for his upcoming directorial venture 'Spirit', starring Prabhas in the lead role. The movie made headlines recently when Deepika Padukone exited the project, and now new reports have been circulating that the Prabhas and Triptii starrer will carry an ‘A’ certification due to its intense and mature content.
Sandeep's Spirit will be an 'A rated' movie
According to Pinkvilla, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial will be an ‘A-rated’ film. “While the storytelling of Spirit is that of a quintessential Telugu entertainer, with all the hero moments, the filmmaker is bringing a twist to the genre by incorporating an ‘A-rated’ element. Apart from the use of ample blood in the action scenes, Spirit will also boast a lot of bold sequences featuring the two leads,” a source revealed.
Triptii agreed to the roles written on the paper
Sandeep wanted to cast an actress who would be comfortable with the intimate scenes and had promised a professional setup at the shooting location for the actress to film these scenes. These scenes were reportedly also part of the initial script narrated to Deepika Padukone. However, both parties had earlier reached a mutual decision to tone down elements they believed were pushing boundaries.
About 'Spirit'
The big-budget cop thriller is expected to begin filming in October 2025. Described as a ‘Pan World’ release, Spirit is planned to hit screens in nine languages. The makers are also reportedly seeking South Korean actor Ma Dong Seok’s availability for a pivotal role. The movie is expected to hit theatres in 2027.
Prabhas' 'The Raja Saab'
At the same time, Prabhas is also gearing up for the release of 'The Raja Saab' by Maruthi.
