’ released Saturday morning amidst high expectations.

The film that is set for release on September 7, received good response for its teaser and other promotional material. Directed by Jaya Shankarr and starring Santosh Shoban, Riya Suman and Tanya Hope in lead roles, the film features music by

. Writer/director turned producer Sampath released the trailer on his social media and wrote, “Here we come, checkout #PaperBoyTrailer #SantoshShoban #RiyaSuman & #TanyaHope. #PaperBoyOnSept7th” (sic)

The trailer sees the lead protagonists in love, with the rich girl falling in love with the titular paper boy. The two seem to connect over shared interests and a mutual love of books. However, when reality strikes, the economic divide between them seems insurmountable. The male protagonist seems to pen down his journey and love for her in a diary which seems to be read by someone else later on. It remains to be seen if protagonists ever make it and how someone else comes in possession of the diary.

Seeing as how the film will face tough competition from Venkatesh Maha’s ‘C/o Kancharapalem’ and Phanindra Narsetti’s ‘Manu’ upon its release, it remains to be seen how it’ll fare.
