Along with the success of the action series ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’, the talented actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu is also ruling the hearts of the audiences due to a throwback advertisement that is now going viral on social media.
The viral advertisement clip shows Samantha in her most charming and energetic state delivering stunning expressions along with dance moves. The ‘Citadel’ actress is seen in a simple yellow and pink attire and she looks completely unrecognizable.
Netizens are stunned by Samantha’s transformation. One commented, “I totally didn’t recognise her.” Another comment read, “She is looking more Rashmika than Samantha..” A third one commented, “Samantha who?? The one who's in the new citadel series?? Tell me I'm wrong because I don't see an atom of Samantha in this video.” A fourth comment read, “Correction: current Samantha is a different person.”
There were also positive comments. One commented, “she was beautiful then, she’s beautiful now.” Another one commented, “She always looked pretty, with or without the surgeries or botox. Just accept it and move on.”
From her looks, it seems that the advertisement was shot way before her debut Telugu film ‘ Ye Maaye Chesave’.
On the work front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu teamed up with Varun Dhawan for the recently released action flick series ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ which is getting good reviews from the audiences. ETimes rated the series a solid 3.0 out of 5 and our review reads, “In the prequel to Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas-starrer Citadel (2023), and its 2024 Italian spin-off, Citadel: Diana, two spies find their personal and professional lives go awry after a critical mission nosedives. When stuntman Rahi, aka Bunny (Varun Dhawan), recruits his friend and a struggling actress, Honey (Samantha), to extract a high-tech gadget and stop a dangerous project, protocols are broken, loyalties questioned, and the botched mission sets the stage for action and intrigue. The series traces the formative years of the mysterious syndicate trying to bring the elite spy agency, Citadel, down, while depicting the origins of Nadia (Kashvi Majmundar), played by Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the original series. Directors and co-writers Raj & DK whip up an espionage thriller with slick fight choreography that will draw the viewer in. The action sequences make the narrative move at a brisk pace, but without these, the storytelling often loses its spark. The predictable plot points fall short of being compelling enough to keep you coming back for more, though some moments and twists will take you by surprise — Honey’s interaction with her ailing father or a mole’s identity being outed."
