Samantha Ruth Prabhu reveals why she took on dance number 'Oo Antava'; says, 'I wanted to see if I could be sexy'
Samantha Ruth Prabhu let her gurad down and got candid about her vulnerable side, her journey, and more while at a recent event. The actress, who recently made waves with her '' from the Allu Arjun starrer 'Pushpa: The Rise', let fans in on her motivation behind taking on the project.
Sharing her belief about making such films, she cited the example of her character from 'The Family Man 2'. The actress said, "I went searching for the role of Raji—it was completely different from anything I had ever done."
Speaking about the iconic special number from 'Pushpa: The Rise', the actress added, "I did 'Oo Antava' to see if I could. It was a challenge I gave myself."
She added that the success she witnessed should have made her feel at the top of the world; however, it didn't. She added that she decided to use the fame to "create value." She said, "That was when I realized that I found my purpose. What you do with that platform is what matters."
On the work front, Samantha will next feature in a series titled 'Rakht Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom' and a Telugu movie 'Maa Inti Bangaram'.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently attended the NDTV World Summit 2025, where she talked about how her choices often stemmed from curiosity and to challenge herself. At the event, the diva shared that she wants to do films that would add a layer to her professional life as an actor.Sharing her belief about making such films, she cited the example of her character from 'The Family Man 2'. Samantha also reflected on the period in her life when success felt overwhelming. The actress expressed, "I had nothing; I came from a humble background. My family struggled to put food on the table. She added that she decided to use the fame to "create value." She said, "That was when I realized that I found my purpose. What you do with that platform is what matters."
