On Thursday, Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared the latest poster of her upcoming film 'Shaakuntalam' on Twitter. The movie is inspired by the renowned Indian poet Kalidas' play Abhignyana Shakuntalam and is scheduled to hit theatres on April 14.
In the new poster, Samantha appears in a stunning portrayal of Shakuntala, wearing an exquisite white outfit complemented by adornments crafted from yellow roses.

Yesterday, the promotions for 'Shaakuntalam' began on an auspicious note as the Shaakuntalam team, consisting of Samantha, Dev Mohan, director Gunasekhar, and others, visited the temple and received divine blessings from Sri Peddamma Thalli.
On January 9th, the movie trailer was unveiled, arousing anticipation for its release among the audience. The story follows Shakuntala, an orphaned child raised by a priest, as she blossoms into a stunning woman who captures the attention of King Dushyanta. Samantha and Dev Mohan are cast as Shakuntala and Dushyant, respectively, and their captivating on-screen chemistry has generated great excitement among viewers.
'Shaakuntalam' will mark the acting debut of Allu Arjun's daughter, Allu Arha, who will portray the role of young Princess Bharata. Alongside her, Prakash Raj, Jisshu Sengupta, Madhubala, and others will be seen in supporting roles. The movie is set to release on April 14th in various languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
