The 'Kushi' actress made an appearance at the inaugural World Pickleball League (WPBL) to support her team, the Chennai Super Champs. Dressed in a vibrant yellow-and-red jersey, Samantha cheered enthusiastically from the stands.

Samantha's presence at the pickleball match comes shortly after her return to acting in the Prime Video series 'Citadel: Honey Bunny', alongside Varun Dhawan. This project marked her comeback after a health-related hiatus, and fans are thrilled to see her back on screen.

As the first celebrity franchise owner in the WPBL, Samantha has firmly established the Chennai Super Champs as a symbol of her love for the city.

Recently, Samantha Ruth Prabhu opened up about her absence from Tamil films, explaining that she is currently selective about the projects she takes on. In a recent interview with News18, she shared that her last Tamil film was 'Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal', released in 2022, and since then, she has been focusing on finding roles that truly resonate with her. She said, "It's easy to do many films, yes. But I think I'm at the point of time in my life where every film must feel like it's the last. It must have that kind of effect. If I don't one hundred per cent believe in it, I can't get myself to do it."

On the other hand, Atlee was last directed 'Baby John', a Hindi remake of his earlier hit 'Theri', which starred Thalapathy Vijay and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. This film features Varun Dhawan, Wamiqa Gabbi and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles.
