'Salaar' makers on the film being a remake of 'Ugramm': The two films in no pretext match each other

The upcoming big film 'Salaar Part 1 Ceasefire' is set for its release in theatres on December 22 worldwide. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the movie stars Prabhas, Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Jagapthi Babu in lead roles. The Kannada origin movie will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. The movie has been certified A by the censor board and the advance ticket booking has already begun in the US.

Ahead of the release, Salaar is making headlines as the buzz around it being a remake of the film Ugramm which was also directed by Prashanth Neel. Ugramm marks Neel's debut as a director and in an interview earlier, he revealed that he would like to remake the film with a bigger star and it was recently circulating on the net, leading to many speculation about Salaar being a remake of the 2014 film.

However, now, the makers of the movie, Hombale films have cleared the air and said that the movie is not a remake of Ugramm and also said that the two films in no pretext match each other. Salaar is an action packed film and the plot revolves around two childhood friends who agree to save one other at any cost.
