SS Rajamouli
’s much-awaited
Ram Charan, Jr NTR and
Alia Bhatt starrer RRR finally released today.
The makers made the release a special one for fans by booking theatres across the Telugu states and selling tickets to fans at Rs 50/- or so to watch it on the big-screen for the first time at 10 AM on Thursday. While initially announced that the trailer will release on YouTube at 4 PM, they took the decision to release the same at 11 AM following numerous videos shot by fans making their way to social media. The 3-minute-16-seconds trailer of RRR reveals a lot about the story of the film that has been kept under wraps. Jr NTR plays a Gond tribesman called Komaram Bheem, who is the protector of his people. Ram Charan plays a policeman called Alluri Sitaramaraju who’s evidently sent to help bring Bheem under control. When the two strike a bond and certain events transpire, Sitaramaraju joins Bheem in his fight against the Colonial oppressors. The trailer also shows off the kind of action sequences and emotional tugs that can be expected from the film.
RRR, which is slated for release on January 7, 2022 across the world sees Ajaay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Olivia Morris, Alison Doody and others in key roles. The film has high expectations pinned on it as it is SS Rajamouli’s next film after the magnum opus Baahubali. The makers and actors have worked hard for the film since the last few years and it remains to be seen how the film with music by MM Keeravani will be received. RRR will release not just in Telugu but also other South Indian languages and Hindi. With the makers pulling no stops in promoting the film, it remains to be seen what else they have in store for fans.
