Romeo set in Verona, the land of Romeo & Julliet

Director Puri Jagannadh has stated many times in the past that he loves travelling which is why most of his films are usually set in far flung locations of the world. Admittedly, the genesis of the story of Romeo also happened while he was traveling through Venice, Italy.
���There is place in Venice called Verona. It is where the famous Shakespearean play Romeo, Juliet was set in.The town has statues of Romeo and Juliet and lovers from all over the world visit the place. The place inspired me to write a story set in the backdrop of Verona. That���s how the idea to write Romeo came about,��� says director Puri Jagannadh who wrote the script for the movie.
The cast and crew of the film shot for 50 days in sun-zero temperatures in Verona. The film has Adonica Rodricks playing the female lead. Gopi Ganesh, a debutante is directing the movie.
