'Robinhood' OTT release: When and where to watch Nithiin and Sreeleela’s heist comedy flick

After a theatrical run that generated mixed responses, Nithiin and Sreeleela’s heist action comedy Robinhood is now set for its digital premiere.

Directed by Venky Kudumula, the Telugu-language film will start streaming on OTT from May 10 at 6 PM.

Released in theatres on March 28, 2025, ‘Robinhood’ attempted to bring a blend of action, comedy, and social messaging to the big screen. Despite average box office performance, the film garnered attention for its unique storyline and the surprising addition of Australian cricketer David Warner in a key role, aimed at boosting its appeal.

An interesting plot

The film follows the story of Ram (played by Nithiin), an orphan who grows up witnessing poverty and hunger among fellow orphans. Moved by their struggles, Ram turns into a modern-day Robinhood, stealing from the rich with his clever strategies and helping the needy. As his missions unfold, he crosses paths with Neera Vasudev (Sreeleela), the daughter of a powerful pharma tycoon.


Their journey takes them to Rudrakonda, a village that becomes the focal point of a global drug trade, thanks to its cultivation of a rare marijuana strain. The movie had all the elements to entertain the audience, but somehow the execution failed. Also the movie had failed to create a hype before it’s release, apart from the selling point factor that it was David Warner’s acting debut.

Now heading to ZEE5, ‘Robinhood’ promises a fast-paced narrative packed with humor, action, and timely themes.

Overall verdict

‘Robinhood’ received mostly mixed reviews from the audiences.
