Respect is a two-way street: Sri Reddy

The controversy surrounding anchor-turned-actress Sri Reddy continues to get bigger with each passing day. After her sensational semi-nude protest against the casting couch menace and the harassment of women in the Telugu film industry made the world sit up and take notice, Sri Reddy has now targeted actor-politician Pawan Kalyan.
After Pawan’s army of fans trolled Sri Reddy and fellow artistes who were supporting her movement, the actress lost her cool and abused the actor-politician.
“A man like Pawan Kalyan who has married three times and has no respect for women is now giving suggestions. I once called him Anna (brother), I take that back,” she said, before dramatically taking her own slipper out and slapped herself on the face with it.
“From now on, no woman will call him as Anna. Pawan Kalyan ma*****od,” she said furiously, before making an abusive gesture towards the television cameras pointed at her.
Later, Sri Reddy admitted that her reaction was an emotional one caused due to the constant trolling by Pawan Kalyan fans.
“Na pillalni bediristhe evarni oorukonu (I won’t tolerate if anybody threatens my girls)..my sorry to the pawan's mother..felt so emotional bcz of the trolls on my girls..I nvr care any bad msgs on me..but I nvr care pawan..(sic),” Sri Reddy posted on Facebook.
Continuing her attack on social media trolls who reacted strongly to her abuse of their Power Star, Sri Reddy said that respect is a two-way street.
“Today, you people are abusing me so much because I spoke disrespectfully about Pawan Kalyan’s mother. But what about our respect. The most horrible things have been said to me and the women who are with me in this fight. Don’t we deserve respect? Is it only Pawan Kalyan’s mother who deserves to be respected?” she asked.
Vowing to continue her protest, Sri Reddy added that they will not take it lying down if Pawan Kalyan cannot control his reckless fans.
