Republic Day 2019: Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, and other Tollywood celebs salute the tricolour flag

Besides commercial movies and off-beat stuff, Tollywood has also delivered some patriotic films which not only evoked the spirit of countrymen but also narrated the inspiring stories of those who made the nation proud. Riveting flicks like ‘Alluri Seetarama Raju’ and ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ succeeded in telling the stories of unsung freedom fighters of the country.
As India celebrates its 70th Republic Day on Saturday, a slew of Telugu film celebrities extended their warm wishes on social media to mark the day. Some of them went a step ahead and hoisted the tricolour flag in their concerned premises.
Megastar Chiranjeevihoisted the flag at the Chiranjeevi Blood Bank in Hyderabad. He is presently busy shooting for ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ bankrolled by his son Ram Charan under Konidela Productions. The Surender Reddy directorial tells the story of a rebellion leader from Rayalaseema who fights against the British.
After a terrific performance as NTR in ‘Kathanayakudu’, Nandamuri Balakrishna is awaiting the release of the second part of NTR biopic titled ‘Mahanayakudu’. Today, he has attended the flag hoisting ceremony at the Basavatarakam Indo-American cancer hospital.
Pawan Kalyan hoisted the tricolour flag on behalf on his Jana Sena political party.
Allu Arjun celebrated the 70th Republic Day with his family members in his home.
On the sets of his 26th film at the Indo-Pak border, Gopichand hoisted the tricolour flag among all the unit members.
