This Sankranti, four big Telugu films were lined up for release. While Mahesh Babu's 'Guntur Kaaram' and Teja Sajja's 'Hanu Man' were released yesterday, Venkatesh Daggubati's 'Saindhav' has been released today. One more left from the list is Nagarjuna's 'Naa Saami Ranga' and it will be out on the big screens tomorrow, January 13.
While the anticipation and buzz around the box office clash was very high, the movies are not directly hindering or objecting the other film's growth as it all has a different storyline catering to different generes.
The films Guntur Kaaram and Hanu Man has already found a spot for themselves and now Saindhav after its release is expected to make Rs 10 crore at the box office. Mahesh Babu's Guntu Kaaram clearly emerged a winner as it made Rs 40 crore at the box office yesterday with 70% occupancy. The film is still running well on the second day and it is likely that Saindhav's release has not damaged the movie's performance on day 2.
Following Saindhav, Nagarjuna's Naa Saami Ranga is releasing in theatres tomorrow and the film is also expected to gross Rs 10 crore at the box office. This fourway clash at the box office for Sankranti has created a lot of buzz but the films releasing are all expected to run well during Pongal.
