London-born Karishma Kotak is a multitalented personality with hands-on experience in acting, modelling and hosting a wide variety of national and international TV shows. She entered the modelling world at the age of 16 and roused to super stardom by walking the ramp at popular fashion shows and endorsing big brands. After relocating to India in 2005, the leggy lass bagged the golden opportunity to feature in the 2006 Kingfisher calendar. She was joined by Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone.

Karishma Kotak made her silver screen debut in 2007 by romancing Chiranjeevi in the Telugu film ‘Shankar Dada Zindabad’. Though this remake of Hindi film Lage Raho Munnabhai tanked at the ticket counters, the ravishing beauty was praised for her gorgeous looks and captivating screen presence. Karishma Kotak was born to Indian parents in Northwest London. She started taking up modelling assignments at the age of 16 and subsequently completed her graduation in advertising and marketing. Initially, she wanted to become a teacher, but fate had other plans for her. After a fruitful modelling stint, she went on to become an actress, popular participant in Bigg Boss and a successful TV presenter for sports shows. She even walked the ramp at the 2004 London Fashion Week.

At the age of 20, Karishma relocated to Mumbai and within a couple of months, she bagged the golden opportunity to feature as a swimsuit model in the 2006 edition of Kingfisher Calendar. The popular project shot her into limelight in the Indian fashion arena and brought several modelling assignments in her kitty. From skincare and fashion to jewellery and lifestyle, she became a popular face in the advertising world.

Karishma Kotak made her film debut in 2007 by romancing Megastar Chiranjeevi in the Telugu film ‘Shankar Dada Zindabad’. Though this official remake of Hindi film Lage Raho Munnabhai tanked at the ticket counters, the ravishing beauty was praised for her gorgeous looks and captivating screen presence. Though she went on to play supporting roles in Hindi and Punjabi films over the years, ‘Shankar Dada Zindabad’ is her only movie as the leading lady.

In 2012, Karishma Kotak participated in the sixth edition of Bigg Boss reality show hosted by Salman Khan. However, she had to make an emergency exit from the house after four weeks following her father’s demise. Despite being unwell from the past few months, Karishma’s father convinced her to take up the opportunity and go to India. He wanted his daughter to be in better shape, get noticed and get good work. She re-entered the show after a few days and was voted out towards the end of December.

Post her eventful journey in the Bigg Boss house, tables started to gradually turn for Karishma Kotak in the entertainment world. She was roped in to host a cricket-based show, a post-match analysis of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013. After proving her mettle, the 38-year-old diva went on to work as a TV presenter for several sports shows like Karnataka Premier League and the 2020 Bangabandhu Cup.
