Deets about Regina Cassandra's Nene Naa

The first-look of Regina Cassandra from her upcoming film with Caarthick Raju, Nene Naa, released on Tuesday evening.
Vijay Sethupathi launched the look of the film that will also release in Tamil as Soorpanagai and called it ‘terrific’. Actors like Lavanya Tripathi and Varun Tej Konidela too shared the posters of the film and the film’s name was trending on social media in no time. The first-look sees Regina in a royal avatar, dressed like a queen.

Nene Naa will see Regina playing the role of an archaeologist who unearths something that changes the course of her life, according to reports. The film has been titled Soorpanagai in Tamil, with reference to Soorpanaka, Ravan’s sister, who’s tough but has a soft side as she falls in love with Rama. How the legend will tie to the film’s story remains to be seen.
Vennela Kishore will play a key character in the film that will see Mansoor Ali Khan in the Tamil version. Jayaprakash and Akshara Gowda also play key roles in the film that will see music by Sam CS. Despite the intense first-look, Nene Naa is touted to be a comedy-horror film. Further details are awaited.
