Not every day we see a quintessential actress like Regina Cassandra who has got the perfect blend of solid acting chops, vivacious personality and arresting screen-presence. In her last Telugu outing ‘Evaru’, the 29-year-old actress delivered a compelling act as Sameera, a complex role that requires her to be steely, vulnerable and scheming all at once. During a latest interaction with Deccan Chronicle, Cassandra stated that she doesn’t want to label the offer as an item number, but term it as a celebration song. Adding that this will be her first and last appearance in special numbers, the Awe actress said she was floored by Chiranjeevi’s compliment on her expressions and dance moves.

“I shot for six days (night shoots). Watching the ease and the grace in Chiru sir’s dance movements was very inspiring. I remember, on the first day of the shoot, we shot for expressions. His expressions complemented his gracious moves. He said I am expressive too, and I was floored with the compliment coming from someone like him,” Regina told the daily.

Taking about her experience while shooting with the Mega Star of Tollywood, Regina Cassandra said “He doesn’t have any airs of a superstar. Throughout the song, what I observed, was he never goes back into the caravan after the scene but keeps talking to other guests and directors on the sets who come to meet him. His humility and simplicity is what makes him a superstar.”

Recently, the first look of Regina from Caarthick Raju’s female-centric film was unveiled to a stirring response from netizens. Touted to be a mystery thriller, the film is titled as

Nene Naa

in Telugu and the poster featured the Chennai-born actress dressed up as a queen with slap marks on both sides of her face. Interestingly, there is an iron torture chamber in the background.
