Ravi Shankar calls 'Robinhood' Nithiin's career best, Compares chemistry with Sreeleela to 'Pokiri' pair

Nithiin's upcoming action-comedy 'Robinhood', directed by Venky Kudumula and Sreeleela as the female lead. Recently during the pre-release event of another film filmmaker Ravi Shankar shared his first impressions of the film, calling it Nithiin's best work to date.

At a pre-release event for GV Prakash Kumar’s 'Kingston', Ravi Shankar revealed that he had just watched 'Robinhood' and was thoroughly impressed with the film.

"I am sure it will be Nithiin Garu’s career-best film. The movie came out pretty well," he said. The producer also compared Nithiin and Sreeleela's chemistry in 'Robinhood' to Mahesh Babu and Ileana D’Cruz in 'Pokiri', calling it a magical on-screen pairing.

He described it as a career-defining project for Nithiin, praising the actor's stylish and energetic performance. He said, "I want to see Nithiin Garu in multiple events until the release on March 28. He is very stylish and energetic in the film. Watching Sreeleela and Nithiin Garu together gave me Pokiri vibes. Back then, when I watched Pokiri, I didn’t know whom to watch: Mahesh Babu or Ileana. I have the same feeling now. I am still in awe of the magic created by Robinhood."

'Robinhood' has faced its share of challenges even before its release. Originally slated for a Christmas 2024 debut, the film was postponed. The delay also allowed the team to refine their work and ensure a polished final product.

It will give a fresh take on the Robin Hood legend making it a comedy, action and romance film. Nithiin plays a skilled conman, while Sreeleela portrays Neera Vasudev, his love interest. The cast includes Shine Tom Chacko, Rajendra Prasad, Vennela Kishore, and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles.

The music of the film is composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
