Rashmika Mandanna shares a sweet birthday message for her baby sister Shiman; "She's growing up so fast"
Actress Rashmika Mandanna recently shared a heartwarming birthday message for her sister Shiman, who is 16 years younger than her, expressing how quickly she is growing up.
On her Instagram Stories, Rashmika posted a tender photo of Shiman peacefully sleeping under a white blanket alongside their golden retriever, both snuggled comfortably on a bed. The actress referred to Shiman as her “baby girl” and showered her with love and warm wishes on her special day.
She wrote: “My baby sister’s birthday and she’s growing up so fast… Happiest birthday to you, my baby girl! I love you so, so much, you cutie!”
Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, the Sikandar actress shared how she acted as a second mother to Shiman, taking care of her from infancy—feeding her, changing her nappies, and bathing her. She said: “When she was born, I would feed her, I would change her nappies, I would bathe her—I was her second mumma. To move from that to now not being able to see her grow up was a little painful.”
Rashmika also mentioned feeling sad about not being able to witness Shiman’s childhood and growth firsthand. She shared that while she misses those moments, she embraces the love and support from her fans and accepts the sacrifices her family has made for her career.
On the professional front, Rashmika is currently busy filming Thama, a highly anticipated love story set against a dark, supernatural backdrop. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Thama revolves around a determined historian who uncovers chilling secrets about local vampire myths as supernatural forces begin to stir.
Rashmika stars alongside Ayushmann Khurrana in this vampire saga, which is part of a growing horror-comedy universe that includes popular franchises like Stree, Bhediya, and Munjya. The film is currently being shot in the scenic hills of Ooty, Tamil Nadu, and is slated for a Diwali 2025 release.
