After their dreamy wedding in Udaipur, actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda will share the screen together in ‘Ranabaali’. The movie will be a period action drama film directed by Rahul Sankrityan. The latest buzz suggests that the makers have finalized its online streaming platform ahead of its theatrical release.

According to a report by The Economic Times, the makers confirmed that the movie is set to stream on OTT giant Netflix after its theatrical release. However, the makers have yet to make an official announcement.

About the film ‘Ranabaali’

Talking about the film, ‘Ranabaali’ is set in 19th-century India during British rule. The story is expected to revolve around a painful time in history. It talks about violence, loss of life, and money taken away during colonial rule. Reports in the film mention nearly 100 million deaths and wealth worth 45 trillion dollars being looted. Vijay Deverakonda plays a brave freedom fighter named Ranabaali. On the other hand, Rashmika Mandanna plays Jayamma, a character close to his heart.

Cast of the film

The movie marks the third film for Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna together. They earlier worked in ‘Geetha Govindam’ and ‘Dear Comrade’. They are expected to be seen in powerful roles.

Actor Arnold Vosloo plays the villain Sir Theodore Hector. The music is by Ajay-Atul.

Makers release special song for the couple

The makers recently shared the song ‘O Mere Saajan.’ They wrote, “A special surprise from team Ranabaali, celebrating this beautiful moment in the lives of our Ranabaali and Jayamma.” The poster also said, “Some bonds are eternal.”

‘Ranabaali’ will release in theatres on September 11, 2026.
