Rana Daggubati, whose earlier films ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’, ‘Ghazi Attack’ and ‘
Baahubali’ had been major box office success will be seen in a period drama, titled ‘1945’, which is set in the backdrop of pre-partition India. The latest we hear is that the shooting of this film is nearing completion with its makers setting the deadline for its release as summer.
In the movie, Rana will be seen essaying the role of a soldier of Subhash Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army (INA).
Regina Cassandra will be paired opposite Rana in the period drama. She plays the role of a Chettiar girl who is supposed to get married to Rana.
The film, directed by Sathya Siva, is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. The Tamil version is titled ‘Madai Thiranthu’. The movie features Sathyaraj, Nasser and RJ Balaji in pivotal roles. Interestingly, Rana, Sathyaraj and Nasser have worked together in the ‘Baahubali’ franchise.
