Ram signs his next project after iSmart Shankar

Actor Ram Pothineni, who's back on a success trajectory with a hit like Hello Guru Prema Kosame in his kitty, is beginning to sign films at a quick pace. While he's currently shooting for Puri Jagannadh's iSmart Shankar that's reportedly a sci-fi thriller, he's given a nod to Appatlo Okadundevaadu director Sagar Chandra's story next.
The director Sagar Chandra was in the news recently for a film that would star Varun Tej in the lead.However, for reasons unknown, the film was shelved even before it took off. It remains to be seen if the director has reworked the same script to suit actor Ram's sensibilities. If all goes well, this project should work like a shot in the arm for Sagar and widen his reach among crowds. Sagar Chandra's previous films Ayyare and Appatlo Okadundevadu had managed to garner critical acclaim, but couldn't click at the box office.
