Actor Ram Pothineni turns a year older on May 15 and the actor has a double treat for fans on his birthday.
The actor is currently shooting for an untitled project, dubbed as #BoyapatiRaPo, with director Boyapati Srinu and actress Sreeleela. The film is scheduled for release on Vijaya Dasami and stars Prince Cecil, Jagapathi Babu and others in key roles. The glimpse of the film will be released on his birthday.
After that, Ram will team up with director Puri Jagannadh again after iSmart Shankar. The film will be officially announced on his birthday. It’s unclear if the film will be the sequel, titled Double iSmart, or a new project.
A source had confirmed this to Hyderabad Times before the official announcement, stating, “Puri and Ram are excited to work together again given their last film was such a massive hit in both their careers. They recently met to finalise the project. Puri narrated the story to Ram, and he liked it so much, he immediately said yes. The film will go on floors in June or July.”
Ram Pothineni’s last films Red and The Warriorr received lukewarm response so it remains to be seen how his new projects will fare. Further details are awaited.
