Nagarjuna
has teamed with hit director
Ram Gopal Varma for the fourth time for their upcoming flick titled, ‘
Officer
.’ The duo had earlier worked together in movies like
Shiva,
Antham
and Govinda Govinda.
The movie marks their latest collaboration after more than one decade. Touted to be an intense crime thriller, the film is said to be inspired from the action entertainer, ‘Taken.’ Directed by Pierre Morel, it had popular actors Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace and Famke Janssen playing lead roles.
The movie will showcase Nagarjuna essaying the role of a badass cop. The film is all set for a grand release on May 25. Director Ram Gopal Varma announced the launching of the project on social media recently. He also unveiled the first look poster and release date, saying that he is hopeful that the film will bring some good news to moviegoers after the shocking death of Indian screen diva, Sridevi in Dubai.
