Starring Naina Ganguly and Apsara Rani in lead roles, the director shared a bunch of posters from the film which sees the lead actors frolicking and romancing each other in bikinis by the beach. Announcing the shoot wrap and sharing a picture of him hugging both Naina and Apsara, he wrote, “Celebrating the end of DANGEROUS shoot with the dangerous girls Naina Ganguly and Apsara Rani at (name of an establishment) in GOA.” (sic) He added, “We the unit of DANGEROUS partied there almost every night.” (sic)

Sharing posters from the film and claiming to be making India’s first ‘lesbian crime thriller’ RGV wrote on his social media in a series of posts that despite being a crime thriller the film is an intense lover story at its core. He even revealed that the film will see these lovers on the run from cops and robbers both and is entirely shot in Goa. He even seemed excited about shooting a love song between two female protagonists as he wrote, “For the first time ever in history of cinema I shot a lip sync duet song between 2 women in love.” (sic)

Ram Gopal Varma seems to draw undue attention with every film of his, with most of them hitting OTT during the pandemic. The director however recently announced that he will make a film called Murder on the Pranay case from Miryalaguda and a film that is based on heinous incidents that took place in the city, but titled Disha Encounter. Despite the parents’ protests, he kept claiming that both the films are fictional in nature. With his recent announcement Dangerous sensationalising and objectifying a sexual orientation that is already a taboo in India, it remains to be seen how this film will fare.
