Ram Charan has unfollowed
Allu Arjun on Instagram recently and it has led Telugu cinema fans to suggest a growing rift between the Mega and Allu families.
Fans noticed the change, observing that Ram Charan now follows only 38 accounts and that while Allu Arjun is no longer on that list, his brother, Allu Sirish, remains. However, Ram Charan's wife, Upasana Konidela, still follows Allu Arjun. Allu Arjun, for his part, has historically only followed his wife, Allu Sneha Reddy, on Instagram.
The unfollowing incident has led to a debate among fans on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter). Some speculate that it's a sign of small tensions between the cousins, referencing a similar incident last year when Sai Dharam Tej unfollowed Allu Arjun. Others point out that Allu Arjun has never followed Ram Charan, suggesting it's a reciprocal action.
Recently Allu Arjun's father,
Allu Aravind, made a comment about the box office performance of Ram Charan's film, 'Game Changer'. At a 'Thandel' event, Aravind seemingly poked fun at producer Dil Raju, who distributed both the commercially successful 'Sankranthi Vastunam' and the underperforming 'Game Changer'.
The remarks did not sit well with Ram Charan's fans. Allu Aravind later during a press meet clarified that his comments were unintentional and expressed regret for the misunderstanding. He spoke about his close relationship with Ram Charan, stating, "Charan is like my son".
A fan on X wrote, "Allu arjun not following enyone from beginning ram charan following suddenly what happened if first to be not followed its no problem."
Neither Ram Charan nor Allu Arjun have publicly addressed the issue, leaving fans to interpret the situation.
On the work front, Allu Arjun was last seen in the mega blockbuster 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'. Meanwhile, Ram Charan was seen in 'Game Changer' which performed poorly. He is now working on his next film tentatively titled, 'RC16'.
