Rajinikanth watches Sridevi's English Vinglish

Superstar Rajinikanth watched Sridevi's come back film English Vinglish at a special screening in Chennai on Thursday. The film, which will be releasing on October 5 in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, was screened to a select few and Rajinikanth, Sridevi, Boney Kapoor, etc graced the event. Thala Ajith has played a cameo in the Tamil version of the film while Amitabh Bachchan has essayed the same role in the Hindi version.
English Vinglish had a gala premiere at the prestigious 2012 Toronto International Film Festival where the film and Sridevi's performance received a standing ovation and global acclaim. The film, which marks the comeback of Sridevi after a 14 year sabbatical, is directed by debutante Gauri Shinde and produced by R Balki. Amit Trivedi has composed the music. Sridevi plays a Maharashtrian housewife, who enrols for an English speaking course to please her husband and family.
