Rajinikanth hugs Vishnu Manchu after watching 'Kannappa' with Mohan Babu: 'I can’t wait for the world to feel the magic of Lord Shiva'
Vishnu Manchu is gearing up for the release of his most awaited mythological epic ‘Kannappa’ on June 27, and the actor-turned-director is now overwhelmed with the first review of the movie by Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth.

On June 16, Vishnu shared a picture with Rajinikanth on his X (formerly Twitter) handle and shared the exciting news. “Last night, @rajinikanth uncle watched #Kannappa. After the film, he gave me a tight hug. He told me that he loved #Kannappa. I’ve been waiting 22 years as an actor for that hug!!! Today, I feel encouraged. Humbled. Grateful. #Kannappa is coming on 27th June and I can’t wait for the world to feel the magic of Lord Shiva. #HarHarMahadev,” Vishnu wrote with happiness.
In the post, he added two pictures: one where he was posing with Rajinikanth, and the other featuring his father, actor Mohan Babu, having a great time with the ‘Jailer’ actor after watching the movie. The trio looked happy during their meeting. Vishnu and Mohan kept it simple in stylish outfits, while Rajinikanth was wearing a casual dhoti and T-shirt.
About Kannappa
Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the movie features Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal in special appearances, while Vishnu plays the lead role. Actors like R. Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Kaushal Manda, and Rahul Madhav play significant roles in it. The recently released trailer of the movie thrilled fans, and many of them are eagerly waiting to catch it in theatres.
Rajinikanth's upcoming movies
On the work front, Rajinikanth is gearing up for the release of Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and the movie is set to hit theatres on August 14. The film features Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra Rao, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, and Sathyaraj in key roles, while Bollywood star Aamir Khan will have a cameo appearance.
Rajinikanth is also shooting for Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer 2, the sequel to his 2023 hit.
