Even as SS Rajamouli’s massive project RRR is yet to complete shooting, it looks like the filmmakers are raking in good business for it.

Alia Bhatt starrer has been sold to an OTT platform for a whopping price. Buzz is that the film has been acquired by the platform for a price of Rs 325 Cr in all languages. Due to this, there was also speculation on social media that the film might directly hit OTT, however, the filmmakers have refuted these rumours, state reports.
The film will have a grand theatrical release come October and only later hit OTT.
Talking about it in an interview, Rajamouli had earlier said, “RRR is made for the big-screen and the idea of releasing it on OTT has not even crossed our minds. We are working hard on each and every frame of the film and it can only be enjoyed on the big screen.” Before the lockdown, the filmmakers were shooting for the climax portions of the film.
While RRR is slated for release in Telugu and other languages on October 13, buzz is that it might be postponed to
Sankranti 2022 due to the pandemic. The period drama will also see
Olivia Morris,
Shriya Saran,
Ajay Devgn and others in key roles.
