'Raja Saab’ starring Prabhas: Is director Maruthi planning a never-seen-before climax?
The highly anticipated upcoming film 'Raja Saab', starring Prabhas, is set to hit theatres on January 9. Directed by Maruthi, the film has generated massive fan frenzy even before its release. The anticipation began as soon as early updates hinted at an unusual blend of genres. Not just its scale, but also the time and care invested in shaping its vision, set the film apart. Even ahead of its release, Raja Saab has positioned itself as one of the most ambitious projects in the actor’s career.

A bold and carefully crafted vision

Raja Saab moves away from predictable storytelling and aims to deliver a cinematic experience rather than following a standard commercial template. Director Maruthi reportedly spent extensive time refining the script, focusing on emotional depth, strong visuals, and a cohesive narrative flow. Every creative choice reflects meticulous planning.

A production scale rarely seen

According to Moneycontrol, the shooting process itself reflects the film’s ambition. The team worked for nearly 280 days, an unusually long schedule by today’s standards. Action sequences formed the backbone of the shoot, with almost 140 days dedicated solely to them. The climax, however, is said to be the most challenging portion of the film. Reportedly running close to 40 minutes, it was filmed over more than 70 days.

A powerhouse cast and technical strength

Raja Saab boasts a strong ensemble cast including Prabhas, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar and Zarina Wahab, among others. The film’s cinematography is handled by Karthik Palania, while editing is by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. Music is composed by Thaman S. The film is slated for a theatrical release on January 9.
