Raj Tarun, Malvika and Hebah hinted the same on social media on Thursday when they bantered adorably on social media, hinting fans that an
announcement
about the same will be made on Friday morning. Malvika wrote on her social media, “Oey Bujjiga, malli manam kalisedi eppudu? @rajtarunn” (sic) He replied, “Repu ok na? @iamhebahp em antaav?” (sic) Hebah continued the conversation and said, “Tappakunda! Super excited! @malvikanairofficial @rajtarunn.” (sic)
Even hinting the platform the film will release on, Raj Tarun wrote, “’Aha!!’ anukone laga oka announcement icheddam mari mugguram kalisi! 10 AM ki ok kada :)@ihebahp @malvikanairofficial.” (sic) At 10 AM on Friday, the team took to social media to announce that the film will get a
digital release
soon and will hit OTT on October 2. Sharing the news, Raj Tarun wrote, "The wait is almost over!

Orey Bujjiga was supposed to hit screens in March this year but release was pushed due to the pandemic. In April, it was speculated that V, Orey Bujjiga and a few other films that were lined for release would hit OTT. But the makers of the film took to social media and rubbished the rumours. They wrote, “Don't believe in
rumours
about skipping the theatrical release of #OreyBujjiga. We will update about the theatrical release date once normalcy is restored. Until then #StayHomeStaySafe - @KKRadhamohan @SriSathyaSaiArt.” (sic) But with the fate of theatres remaining uncertain, looks like they changed their minds.
