After much speculation it has now been confirmed that
Raashi Khanna will be teaming up with
Suriya for her next after
World Famous Lover
.
Revealing that she also has a couple of projects in Telugu up her sleeve that are yet to be announced, Raashi Khanna wrote during an #AskRaashi session, “Aranmanai 3 and a film with Suriya sir under
Hari sir’s direction in Tamil.. Will give more clarity about two projects in Telugu that are under discussions, once the lockdown is over.” (sic)
Directed by Hari, the
Tamil film titled
Aruvaa
was meant to go on floors in April, be completed in a single schedule and be ready for release by Diwali. However the novel coronavirus pandemic has thrown a wrench in the plans.
Aruvaa marks Suriya and Hari’s sixth film after the Singam
trilogy
, Vel and Aaru. Aruvaa will see music by Imaan and it remains to be seen if the film will hit screens in Telugu too, as most Suriya films do.
The actor is awaiting the release of
Aakasam Nee Haddura
,
Soorarai Pottru
in Tamil, whose release has been stalled too due to the pandemic. Raashi also has Shaitan ka Bachcha and Aranmanai 3 lined up, apart from Aruvaa.
Recently there were rumours that Raashi Khanna regretted being part of World Famous Lover due to the film’s failure, however the actress cleared the air and wrote on her social media, “I stand by all the films that I have done with no regrets. A film may work or may not work but every film is a beautiful journey where we learn and grow as actors in some capacity.. I stand by them all. Thankyou.” (sic)
