’ released today.
“USTAD ISMART SHANKAR,” (sic) wrote
Charmmee
sharing the video. Ram Pothineni too wrote, “He’s BAD..He’s WILD...He’s ENTERTAINING!!! Meet Ustaad #iSmartShankar.” (sic) Nabha Natesh on the other hand stated that ‘
mass
’ can’t get better than this and wrote, “Mass can’t get better than thisssssssssss. hereeeeeee boys n girls!!” (sic)
The 2-minute-13-seconds long trailer begins with a hilarious take on the ‘plug in your earphones’ sign every trailer seems to see. “This product will entertain you even without ear phones,” says the card at the beginning. The rest of the video however sees Ram Pothineni’s character ‘iSmart Shankar’ scream his lungs out and get into all sorts of trouble before the police decide to chip him and track him. Nabha Natesh seemingly plays a civil engineer while Nidhhi Agerwal plays a doctor.
The film that sees music by
Mani Sharma (including seemingly a Maisamma number) and lyrics by Bhaskarabhatla also sees
Satya Dev in a key role. The trailer however seems to have gotten mixed response from fans leaving comments like, “Telangana slang is not easy for all heros. RAm should've tried the hyderabadi Typical slang instead of pure Telangana slang. Man it just ruined everything.....” (sic) and “Over dose of over action complete reflection of PURI overlapped ram's acting” (sic) But many also leave comments supporting Puri Jagannadh and Ram Pothineni.
'iSmart Shankar' is slated for release on July 18.
