Punarnavi, who made her debut as Avika Gors friend in Uyyala Jampala, has played an important role in Kranthi Madhavs Malli Malli Idhi Rani Roju, starring
Sharwanand and Nithya Menen. The actress recalls turning down plenty of offers over the past few months which stereotyped her as a heros sister or heroines best friend. However, she says that she couldnt say no to Kranthi Madhav.
He was extremely stubborn that I play the role and I am glad that I got to be part of a wonderful film. I remember the first day of the shoot when I felt overwhelmed sharing screen space with the actors. Thankfully, everyone put me at ease and Sharwanand helped me a lot with the dialogues. It was a good experience working with him, Punarnavi recalls. After starting her career as a stage artiste, the actress confesses that her entry into films happened by chance, but what really surprised her was the reaction from the audience.
Everything happened so quickly and soon after my debut, I was intimidated with the attention I was getting from people, especially on social media. It took a while, especially for my mother, to get used to it and shes more concerned about me whether I can balance my studies and work. Last year, I enrolled in a degree course in psychology and I am planning to specialise in child psychology," she says, adding that she is also playing one of the lead roles in a film titled Panchadara Pacchimirchi.
