Actress
Priyamani is frustrated with the ongoing lockdown but says she has something to look forward to once the Covid-19 pandemic is over.
The actress has been roped in for a key role in Venky Udugula’s Virata Parvatam 1922 starring
Rana Daggubati and
Sai Pallavi in lead roles. Set in 1922, the film is a political thriller and has a tagline ‘revolution is an act of love’. “Yes, I am a part of it and it’s an exciting role.
The film revolves around naxalism in the early 1920s and is based on true events,” shares Priyamani, adding, “It’s too early to reveal details about my character but I can say that it’s going to be an intense role and I’m looking forward to start shooting for it.”
Priyamani is also awaiting the release of Asuran remake Narappa, which features Venkatesh in the lead. “We’ve almost wrapped up the shoot and once the situation normalises, it will hopefully be ready for release. Naturally, our first priority is safety right now. Hopefully this crisis blows over and we go back to making movies again,” she says, signing off.
