Preproduction works of ‘Bharateeyudu 2’ kick-starts

Superstar Kamal Haasan and director S Shankar are all set to unite together after 22-years for the much-awaited second instalment of the 1996 blockbuster film ‘Bharateeyudu’. With the film slated to go on the floors from January next year, the team is currently undeterred in scouting for locations to shoot.

To be predominantly shot in Thailand, the much-awaited film is being bankrolled by Lyca Productions. Several key scenes, two songs and an action sequences will reportedly be shot in the place.

The film will have the well-known lensman Ravi Varman, known for his work in films such as ‘Jai’, ‘Anniyan’, ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu’, ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’, ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’, ‘Jagga Jasoos’ and ‘Sanju’ to name a few. Nayanthara, who has back-to-back films in her kitty, has been finalised as the leading lady. Anirudh Ravichander has been roped to compose music for the film.
