Prashanth Neel shares upcoming Jr NTR film, 'Dragon' will be a periodic drama

Jr NTR is set to collaborate with the 'KGF' and 'Salaar' fame director Prashanth Neel in an exciting new project, tentatively titled 'Dragon'. Recently, the 44-year-old director revealed in a recent interview that 'Dragon' will be a period drama.

The production house of the film recently shared a conversation with the director where he stated that the film is centered around immigrants, portraying Jr NTR as a saviour for Telugu people facing challenges in Bangladesh. While the film is not mythological, it will be epic in its own right.

He said, "The film has no mythological touch, but it is an epic in its own right."

The film was officially launched on August 9, 2024, with a pooja ceremony attended by Jr NTR’s family and key crew members. Although the title 'Dragon' has been circulating, an official confirmation from the makers is still awaited. The production team has not yet announced the full cast of the film.

Currently, the film is in pre-production. Jr NTR is anticipated to join the sets in January 2025. The film is expected to be a grand release on January 9, 2026, marking it as one of the most expensive projects for both Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel.

On the work front, Jr NTR recently starred in 'Devara: Part 1', which has been well-received at the box office. He is also working on his Bollywood debut in 'War 2', alongside Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani.

On the other hand, Prasanth Neel will also be working with Prabhas for the sequel of 'Salaar: Ceasefire' which is named 'Salaar 2: Shouryanga Parvam'. He will also work with Yash who will be returning with the action thriller, 'KGF' franchise.
