Director Prasanth Varma's 'Hanu Man' turned out to be one of the biggest openers of the new year and the 34-year-old filmmaker does not hope to stop here. Recently, in an interaction with the media, Prasanth Varma highlighted how he does not want to make the sequel, 'Jai Hanu Man' a highly expensive film.

The large attention being drawn to Prasanth Varma due to offers of an "unlimited budget" for 'Jai Hanuman.' The Indian Express reports said that the director wants to approach the film with a calm perspective. He doesn't want to waste money on expensive budgets. According to Prasanth Varma, expressing a gripping tale is what makes a film, not big budgets. He intends to use the funds wisely, making sure that every rupee invested advances the story.

He also admitted that he a reputation to amintain to make films that are not high bidgeted. The driector emphasised how filmmaking is not about making big-budget films and he doesn't waste time on pointless shots; each one serves a role in the overall story.

In light of 'HanuMan' success, which became a 200 crore film from just a low budget of Rs 40 crore, Prasanth Varma adds that his staff now makes jokes about his newfound reputation as a director who produces successful films on minimal budgets, in contrast to his previous style.

Prasanth Varma's next film 'Jai Hanuman,' is a sequel to 'Hanu Man,' and is expected to be a major film in the cinematic universe he is creating. However, the director's ambition goes far beyond just one sequel. He is constructing a universe in which every character and tale flows into the next, combining superhero elements with mythology to build a rich story. In his upcoming film, 'Adhira,' a character who gains abilities from Lord Indra appears, giving this universe an additional element.

It's interesting to see that Prasanth Varma is also preparing a superhero movie with a female lead. He thinks this film would connect with Indian women, encouraging them and perhaps even making it into a cultural icon. In addition to providing entertainment, the goal is to develop characters that the audience can relate to on a deep level and who they want to imitate in every way, including how they appear.

Prasanth Varma's ideas are always changing as a film is being made, from scripting to shooting to post-production. He is honest about his working methods with his producers, stating that even if he may go over budget, it's always to improve the narrative. If budget is a problem, he will try to improvise it as needed.
