Prabhas’ ‘Spirit’ faces delay: Shooting unlikely to begin in September as planned
Prabhas' film 'Spirit' is set to be directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and rumors about it have been circulating on the internet for some time now. The shooting of the film has not yet begun, and it was expected to begin in September. But that idea has completely changed.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga wants Prabhas to commit exclusively

According to Gulte, the shooting of ‘Spirit’ was scheduled to begin in September 2025. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga wanted Prabhas to devote himself entirely to the film without being involved in any other film. But currently, Prabhas is working on a period film tentatively titled ‘Prabhas Hanu’ directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. There is little chance that this film will be completed by September.

‘The Raja Sahab’ delay affects 'Spirit'

Additionally, some songs and action scenes have not yet been filmed for 'The Raja Sahab' starring Prabhas. So, if director Sandeep Vanga wants to keep his planned shooting dates consistent, there is no chance of ‘Spirit’ shooting starting in September. It is worth noting that no official announcement has been made yet.

Prabhas as a fiery cop

'Spirit' is Sandeep Reddy Vanga's next mega project after 'Animal' featuring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. In the upcoming film, Prabhas is said to be playing the role of a passionate police officer. Although there was earlier talk of Deepika Padukone playing the female lead, the talks did not work out. Now, Bollywood actress Tripti Dimri has been chosen as the lead heroine in the film. This will be her first South Indian film. 'The Raja Saheb' is scheduled to release on December 5, 2025.
