Prabhas’ Salaar trends on social media: Here’s why

Fans trended #Salaar on social media on Thursday for an interesting reason. Prashanth Neel’s KGF Chapter 2, starring Yash, is hitting screens on April 14 and now there’s speculation that a teaser for his Prabhas and Shruti Haasan starrer will also roll out with the film, just like Saaho’s first-look was pegged with Baahubali 2.
Even as Prabhas’ fans wait for confirmation, reports state that the director refused to confirm or deny the same during a recent interaction.When asked about it, he was quoted as stating that he ‘doesn’t know’ and that the press should ask the producers to get a definitive answer. Seeing as how Salaar is produced by the same filmmakers, it’s likely that the teaser could be played before the film, however confirmation is awaited.

The Telugu theatrical rights for KGF Chapter 2 were sold for a record price, state sources. The first part of KGF was a massive success even in the Telugu states and it remains to be seen if this part will fare equally well. As for Salaar, the film’s team is currently on a hiatus after shooting a schedule post the second wave of Covid-19. The film is expected to hit screens later this year.
Prabhas will also soon be seen in Nag Ashwin’s Project K, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal and Om Raut’s Adipurush.
