Abhishek Pictures

has acquired the theatrical and non-theatrical rights of Johar for both the Telugu states. Directed by Teja Marni, the film is bankrolled by Bhanu Sandeep Marni under the Dharma Surya Pictures banner. While the cinematography is handled by Jagadeesh Cheekati, Priyadarshan is composing the music.
According to reports, Johar is a social drama revolving around the subject of how constructing a statue affects the lives of the people.
