Pooja Hegde shares fun throwback pictures with Allu Arjun from the sets of DJ

It’s been three years since Harish Shankar’s Duvvada Jagannadham aka DJ starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles hit screens.
The film which told the story of an undercover officer who fights crime under the guise of an innocent pandit who runs a catering service received mixed response from critics but did good business at the box office. Fans took to social media to celebrate three years of the film’s release with the hashtag #3YearsForDJ.
The film’s team reminisced about their memories of making it and Pooja Hegde too shared two pictures from behind-the-scenes. In the pictures, Allu Arjun can be seen in his pandit’s garb and rubbing vibudi on Pooja Hegde’s forehead. The actress wrote, “Throwback to the time when @alluarjunonline aka Duvvada Jaggannadham was showing me how to become Miss DJ. The Vibuthi Pro...” (sic)

She also added that it was all the fun that they had behind-the-scenes that probably translated on-screen and resonated well with the audience. “Ty @harish2you for being the orchestrator of laughter...What a fun set it was and I think somewhere the fun we had on set reached the audience.. can’t wait to shoot with this super special team again @thisisdsp @kamera002 #DilRaaju Garu #3YearsForDJ #DJ.” (sic)
Allu Arjun too called it one of the most remarkable films he has done and wrote, “3 years of DJ ! Thank you Harish Shankar garu for all the entertainment on & off the screen . Spl Thanks to Dil Raju garu , @hegdepooja , my Friend DSP n many more. One of my most memorable film . I thank all the cast & crew of DJ once again & most importantly My Army & Audience #3yearsofDJ.” (sic)
Harish Shankar’s DJ did not just find love in Telugu but also in Hindi seeing as how the Hindi-dubbed version of the film on YouTube has raked in more than 255M views, while the Telugu original has raked in 79M views.
