has left no stone unturned to make sure that his third film hits the bull’s eye. Teaming up with Venky Atluri of ‘Tholi Prema’ fame, the 25-year-old actor slogged hard to bag his first hit with ‘Mr. Majnu’. Despite an impressive show from the youngster, the romantic-drama fell flat at the ticket counters owing to flat narration. Keeping everything behind, the celebrity lad kicked-off his next project with
Bommarillu Bhaskar.
While a couple of schedules have already been wrapped up, the leading lady hasn’t been confirmed by the makers. However, after months of deliberation, gorgeous bombshell
Pooja Hegde has been roped in to romance Akhil in the film.
Initially, speculations were rife that
Sai Pallavi was almost confirmed as the leading lady but surprisingly, she backed off at the last minute. After several names like
Anupama Parameshwaran
and
Rashmika Mandanna went around, Bommarillu Bhaskar has finally zeroed in on the Maharshi actress.
According to sources, the lead actress’ role is perfectly designed in the film and it will be a performance-oriented one like
Genelia
in Bommarillu. With a string of big-ticket films in her kitty, it looks like Pooja Hegde is the new favourite of T-town.
